This coffee is from the northern regions of Jintega and Matagalpa - where the majority of coffee is produced in Nicaragua. The Rio del Coco river winds its way through the hills and lush department of Madriz, providing the coffee culture with the ideal nutrients and rich soil for coffee plantations. The coffees from San Juan del Rio Coco have a reputation for being the smoothest coffees of Nicaragua.
Tasting Notes: A mellow, aromatic coffee with notes of caramel, nuts and dark chocolate. This coffee has a long mouthfeel with refined notes of caramelised sugar and raisin.
